The Lotus Emeya series has been announced, coming in its base, S and R variants. The series has a starting price of RM575,000.
Lotus first launched the Eletre line of electric SUVs last year, and now, the company is introducing what it calls its first electric Hyper-GT models into the country. They are called the Lotus Emeya, and like the Eletre before it, this GT line comes in base, S and R variants.
The web page for the model points to a century sprint time of 2.78 seconds, and a top speed of 256km/h. The EV is also noted to run a two-speed transmission and a dual-motor configuration capable of pushing out 905 bhp and 985 Nm of torque. These specific figures only apply to the Lotus Emeya R, whereas according to paultan.org, the base and S models sports 603 bhp and 710 Nm of torque instead, with 0-100km/h is done in 4.15 seconds.
In a similar vein, the company says that the Lotus Emeya runs a familiar 800V battery that gives it a maximum WLTP range of between 490km and 600km, with the base and S models doing the latter, while the R model is limited to the former. Also mentioned is that, with a 350kW DC charger, the EV can get an additional 150km in range with a five minute charge, or going from 10% to 80% battery charge with 18 minutes of being plugged in.
