County Court Judge Mark Gamble has resumed his sentencing remarks by focusing on the delays the case has faced.that statements were made to police and then charges were filed inThe extradition order was ultimately signed inShe's remained in custody since then, spending a total ofShe had also spent two previous periods in custody while facing extradition proceedings in Israel.By Tim Callanan
Judge Gamble said Elly Sapper was left with feelings of guilt, shame and fear and is worried she may not be able to protect the people she loves, including her young daughter. She believes she's not always "fully present" with her daughter due to the abuse and feels an "overpowering need to shield her from harm".
Judge Mark Gamble is continuing to outline the specific details of the 18 offences against Ms Erlich and Ms Sapper. However, the judge was satisfied those events provided context for later offending backstage after a school play.
