Sussan Ley has slammed the Albanese Government for 'wheeling out the same lame excuses' over increasing energy costs as Australian households are set to face higher gas bills from Tuesday.
Australian households are set to face higher gas bills from Tuesday as retailers pass on price rises, leaving families and small businesses under pressure to stay afloat.
“What we have to look at is the effect this has on small businesses because the role they play in economic recovery...is a really important one," she told Sky News host Peter Stefanovic. As a result the gas industry has criticised the government for failing to have a plan to fix supply shortages as prices continue to increase.
“It all shows that their priorities are not on affordable and reliable power for everyday households and businesses."
