House of Representatives Committee on Army has pledged to place the Service on a proper pedestal to tackle the challenges of insecurity facing the country.

The chairman of the committee, Hon. Abdullahi Mamudu, who made this pledge at the inauguration of the panel yesterday, said in most democracies, the Military and the Parliaments work together for the good of the society.

“Let us take this responsibility with all seriousness and know that it is our duty to put the Nigerian Army on a proper pedestal to be able to end the several challenges we have been having in terms of insecurity in the country,” he said.
