Thirteen students, aged between 16 and 19, are charged with jointly murdering Mohamad Nazmie Aizzat, 17, in rooms 7 Resak and 5 Belian at the Lahad Datu Vocational College between 9pm on March 21 and 7.38am on March 22. In response to Deputy Public Prosecutor Nur Nisla Abd Latif’s question whether the 107 injuries were sufficient to cause death to the victim, Dr Dzureena acknowledged that it was and informed the court that the victim’s injuries were from head to toe, with injuries around the left and right arm, possibly indicating defensive wounds.

Dr Dzureena: All of the above, specifically the chest and soft tissue injuries in combination, caused the death of the deceased.
