A forensic pathologist testified in court, revealing that 107 injuries were found on the body of Mohamad Nazmie Aizzat, 17, who was murdered at Lahad Datu Vocational College. The injuries, including 102 bruises and five contusions, are believed to be caused by blunt force trauma.
A forensic pathologist testified today at the High Court here that 107 injuries were found on the body of Mohamad Nazmie Aizzat Mohd Narul, a student from Lahad Datu Vocational College . Dr Dzureena Abdul Multalib, 39, the fifth prosecution witness, stated that based on her examination of the victim's body, the injuries included 102 bruises and five contusions.
She testified in a case involving 13 students, aged between 16 to 19, charged with the murder of Mohamad Nazmie Aizzat, 17, allegedly taking place between 9:00 PM on March 21 and 7:38 AM on March 22 in Hostel Rooms 7 Resak and 5 Belian at the college. The suspects are charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carrying a possible death sentence or imprisonment for 30 to 40 years and a fine. Dr Dzureena's statement through her testimony also noted that, following post-mortem findings, the cause of death was determined to be injuries to the chest and soft tissues due to blunt force trauma. In response to questions from the Deputy Public Prosecutor Nur Nisla Abd Latif, she confirmed that all injuries could result in death and noted signs of self-defense on the victim. When asked to elaborate on what was considered blunt force trauma, she described it as injuries from falling on hard surfaces, kicking, beating, and impacts from blunt objects or a combination thereof
