Police have found a partner at Big Four consulting firm KPMG dead in a Queensland forest, two days after being reported missing from an inner Brisbane suburb.
The body of David Ibels, 43, was discovered at Springbrook National Park in the Gold Coast Hinterland on Monday afternoon, along with his car at a nearby waterfall.
Investigations led officers to the national park, located about 100km south of the Brisbane suburb, where they first found his Porsche wagon and ultimately found the body in the vicinity about 2pm. Police also said they had previously conducted an “extensive search” of Springbrook National Park after the elderly man’s vehicle was found in the area on August 3, but he had not been located.Mr Ibels had been at a partner at KPMG’s Brisbane office for more than seven years and worked at the company for about 12.
