Eight PTD Klang Employees Transferred Over Suspected Illegal Land TransfersEight employees from the Klang District and Land Office (PTD Klang) suspected of involvement in illegal land transfer activities have been transferred to the Human Resources Department (HRD) at the Selangor State Secretariat in Shah Alam. The Selangor Land and Mines Office (PTGS) director Datuk Dr Yusri Zakariah confirmed the transfers, clarifying that the employees were from PTD Klang and not PTGS. All eight will remain at the state secretariat’s HRD until the police complete their investigations. Police had previously uncovered illegal land transfer activities involving insiders at PTD Klang.

Gas Storage Plant Destroyed in Klang FireA gas storage plant was destroyed in a fire that spread to two other buildings in Taman Aman Perdana, Klang, in the early hours of this morning. The fire caused three foreign male workers to be severely burned, while four others managed to escape. The fire, believed to have started in the gas storage plant, spread to an adjacent building and another behind it, a heavy machinery storage warehouse and a copper processing plant. Firefighters from Klang Utara, Klang Selatan, Andalas, Bukit Jelutong, Kapar, Damansara and Pelabuhan Klang were dispatched to the scene. The gas storage plant and heavy machinery warehouse were 80% destroyed, while the copper plant suffered 20% damage.
