A gas storage plant was destroyed in a fire that spread to two other buildings in Taman Aman Perdana, Klang, in the early hours of this morning. The fire caused three foreign male workers to be severely burned, while four others managed to escape. The fire, believed to have started in the gas storage plant, spread to an adjacent building and another behind it, a heavy machinery storage warehouse and a copper processing plant. Firefighters from Klang Utara, Klang Selatan, Andalas, Bukit Jelutong, Kapar, Damansara and Pelabuhan Klang were dispatched to the scene. The gas storage plant and heavy machinery warehouse were 80% destroyed, while the copper plant suffered 20% damage.
