The Sydney Kings are one win away from clinching back-to-back NBL titles after thrashing the New Zealand Breakers 91-68 in game three of the championship series before the largest crowd in competition history.

Game four will be held in Auckland on SundayA crowd of 18,049 turned out for Friday night's clash in Sydney to watch what began as a see-sawing contest typical of the sides' previous meetings this season.

Early on, the Breakers looked scratchy in the face of the tight Kings defence that thwarted them last time around. In the first quarter, they threw up two air balls, stepped out of bounds once and fell victim to a shot-clock violation. Walton did not score a point until past the halfway point of the second quarter and while Cooks had his moments, notably a two-handed dunk, it was Justin Simon who led the way for the Kings in the opening two quarters.Defensive specialist Simon has been the Kings' best player across the first three games of the series and finished with 13 points and six assists.
