The Malaysian road transport department (JPJ) inaugurated its new Putrajaya office today, emphasizing its commitment to enhancing customer service. The new facility boasts modern amenities, increased capacity, and an expanded range of services.
The road transport department ( JPJ ) today opened its new Putrajaya office at Level 1, Galeria PJH Precinct 4 commercial building. This follows on by the chief secretary to the government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, to the old office last September. Transport minister Anthony Loke, who officiated the opening of the new facility, said the new office symbolises JPJ ’s commitment to improving the quality of services to the people. “People do not come to JPJ for events or awards.
They come here to solve problems. Therefore, our priority is to ensure that every matter they deal with is facilitated, with fast and efficient services,” he said in his opening speech. Loke said the new outlet, which was completed in just four months, offers more conducive modern facilities and has a larger capacity to better accommodate customers. He said that the number of services offered by the branch has been expanded from 27 types of transactions to 106, which puts it on par with state JPJ offices, reflecting the department’s increased ability to meet the needs of the people. He added that the office is also equipped with JPJ Assist and kiosk services to enable customers to complete their transactions in easier fashion. However, physical counters are still present to serve those who are more comfortable with the traditional approach. The Putrajaya branch will not be the only one to be revamped, as Loke said that all JPJ offices nationwide will be upgraded in phases with a more customer-friendly concept, with priority to be given to the locations that are always congested, He added that the ministry was considering opening another JPJ office in Nilai to take the load off the Bangi JPJ office, which is one of the busiest outlets
