The Malaysian road transport department (JPJ) inaugurated its modernized Putrajaya office, emphasizing a commitment to improving service quality. Transport Minister Anthony Loke highlighted the expanded service offerings, modern facilities, and accessibility features designed to cater to customer needs. He also announced plans for nationwide office upgrades and the potential opening of a new JPJ office in Nilai.
The road transport department today opened its new Putrajaya office at Level 1, Galeria PJH Precinct 4 commercial building. This follows on theby the chief secretary to the government, Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, to the old office last September, in which heTransport minister Anthony Loke, who officiated the opening of the new facility, said the new office symbolises JPJ ’s commitment to improving the quality of services to the people. “People do not come to JPJ for events or awards.
Loke said the new outlet, which was completed in just four months, offers more conducive modern facilities and has a larger capacity to better accommodate customers. He said that the number of services offered by the branch has been expanded from 27 types of transactions to 106, which puts it on par with state JPJ offices, reflecting the department’s increased ability to meet the needs of the people.
He added that the office is also equipped with JPJ Assist and kiosk services to enable customers to complete their transactions in easier fashion. However, physical counters are still present to serve those who are more comfortable with the traditional approach. The Putrajaya branch will not be the only one to be revamped, as Loke said that all JPJ offices nationwide will be upgraded in phases with a more customer-friendly concept, with priority to be given to the locations that are always congested,
He added that the ministry was considering opening another JPJ office in Nilai to take the load off the Bangi JPJ office, which is one of the busiest outlets.Anthony Lim believes that nothing is better than a good smoke and a car with character, with good handling aspects being top of the prize heap.
