A road accident in Masjid Tanah, Alor Gajah claimed the life of a Public Works Department (JKR) staff member. Mohd. Huzzaimy Ramli, 34, died at the scene after his motorcycle collided with a car driven by a male teacher. The accident occurred around 8am when the car reportedly lost control and entered the oncoming lane, fatally striking the motorcyclist. The 46-year-old driver of the car sustained shortness of breath and was hospitalized.

Ketua Polis Daerah Alor Gajah, Superintenden Ashari Abu Samah berkata, ketika kejadian mangsa sedang dalam perjalanan dari Masjid Tanah menuju ke Sungai Udang manakala kereta Honda BRV dipandu seorang guru lelaki datang dari arah bertentangan. “Impak pelanggaran menyebabkan mangsa maut di lokasi sementara pemandu kereta berusia 46 tahun mengalami sesak nafas dan dibawa ke hospital untuk menerima rawatan,” katanya.
