Breece Hall had just four carries, tied with teammate Dalvin Cook, for 9 yards in Sunday’s loss.
The Cowboys converted 9 of 18 third downs and had the ball for 42 minutes, 15 seconds compared to the Jets’ 17:45.On their first two drives, the Jets actually ran the ball five times in their first 12 plays, with Hall getting two of those carries, before quickly trailing 10-0.
“We didn’t get him the ball because they weren’t on the field, he was on the bench,” Saleh said. “It’s hard to give the guy the ball when he’s on the bench and he’s on the bench because we couldn’t get off the field on defense. That’s the frustrating part and by the time we were able to start winning some third-down reps … the game was over, the game is out of whack, we were trying to throw to catch back up.
