Meet the new Jets offense, same as the old Jets offense.
They struggled to move the ball, reached the end zone just once and leaned on a defense that battled but could not completely stop a potent Cowboys offense. The Jets withstood an early barrage from the Cowboys and got to halftime only trailing by one score, 18-10 despite the Cowboys running 45 plays to the Jets’ 24 in the half.
But the Jets did nothing in the second half and the Cowboys pulled away to drop the Jets to 1-1 this season.Micah Parsons and the Cowboys defense limited the Jets’ offense Sunday. The Jets managed just one big play in the game, a 68-yard touchdown to from Zach Wilson to Garrett Wilson. The rest of the day featured Zach Wilson under a ton of pressure, much of it from Cowboys star Micah Parsons.
This was the Jets’ first week in life after Aaron with Rodgers going down in Week 1 to a torn left Achilles tendon. The Jets swore all week that the loss of Rodgers would not cripple the offense but it clearly did.
