PETALING JAYA: The screenshot posted on Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin's Twitter account is not a one-way ticket as claimed, says Malaysia Airlines (MAS).

The airline clarified that the screenshot of the travel fare between Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu, Sabah was actually a return Business Class fare.

"The fare takes into consideration the date of travel which is immediate departure during peak period such as weekends and is comparable with other available fares in the market," said the airlines in a statement on Friday . "I know many airlines are facing losses during the current Covid-19 pandemic that has affected the whole world.

"But it does not make sense that Malaysia Airlines was charging such a price. It's hard to believe, ” he said, posting a screenshot showing a fare of RM4,499.32 on Friday.
