Kota Kinabalu: The International Women’s Conference (IWC) to be held on Aug 14 and 15 here eyes 500 participants, including male entrepreneurs, professionals, government officials and management leaders.

Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew said organised by non-governmental organisation Sabah Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals Association , the event will be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre .Themed “Empowering Women Leaders, Breaking Barriers, Shaping The Future”, she said the conference plays a vital role to foster an environment where ideas can flourish, partnerships can be forged and leaders can emerge.

“I take this opportunity to encourage more Malaysian women in Sabah to attend the conference for knowledge exposure, personal enhancement and professionalism towards achieving women’s empowerment,” she told a press conference at SICC, Thursday.
