Seorang lelaki didenda RM2,500 oleh Mahkamah Majistret di sini hari ini selepas mengaku bersalah atas pertuduhan mengemukakan maklumat palsu dalam kad pengenalan anak angkatnya 17 tahun lepas.
Pertuduhan mengikut Seksyen 36 Akta Pendaftaran Kelahiran dan Kematian 1957 yang memperuntukkan hukuman denda maksimum RM20,000 atau penjara tidak melebihi tiga tahun atau kedua-duanya. Pada 9 Dis 2019, tertuduh bersama anaknya pergi ke JPN Kampar, Perak untuk memohon kad pengenalan ketika kanak-kanak itu berusia 12 tahun dan semasa permohonan diproses, pegawai kaunter mendapati perbezaan warna kulit yang ketara antara mereka.
