“I can say with confidence this is probably the best league in the country. If not the top, then top two or three,” he said in October on Mission League media day.The Mission League will begin league play Friday night. Notre Dame will play at Loyola, Alemany is at Harvard-Westlake, Chaminade will travel to Sierra Canyon, and the most intriguing matchup on opening night will be Crespi at St. Francis. All games are schedule for 7 p.m.

It will kick off a much-anticipated single round of games before the league’s end-of-year tournament Jan. 30 through Feb. 3 hosted by Alemany.
