Indonesian election may change some investor votes, says ClaraMarquesRTR:
Joko Widodo has won Indonesia’s presidential election, according to preliminary figures published on April 17 ahead of the first official results due on May 22.
Private pollsters’ “quick counts” put Widodo ahead of opponent Prabowo Subianto, a former special forces commander, by 7.1 to 11.6 percentage points. In 2014, Widodo defeated Prabowo by six percentage points.The new president is slated to be inaugurated in October.
