Iconic Penang Sdn Bhd (IPSB) inaugurated the Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a new addition to the Marriott International brand, marking a significant milestone for the Iconic Group and Penang's tourism sector.
Iconic Penang Sdn. Bhd. (IPSB) has launched the early opening of Iconic Marjorie Hotel , which is part of the prestigious Marriott International brand. Tan Kean Tet, Chairman of Iconic Worldwide Berhad and Iconic Group, said that the opening of Iconic Marjorie Hotel is a significant achievement for Iconic Group. “We collaborate with Marriott International to present a hotel that elevates Penang ’s status as a world-class destination for tourists and investors.
“This hotel is not just a luxurious destination, but it celebrates Penang’s rich heritage and our commitment to excellence in real estate and hospitality. “We are proud to contribute to the rapid growth of this extraordinary city and thank everyone who has supported us on this journey, including the Penang State Government,” he said in a statement. Developed with an investment of RM180 million, Iconic Marjorie Hotel is the second hotel project by Iconic Group, a leading real estate developer based in Penang. The first Iconic Group hotel, Iconic Hotel with 195 rooms in Seberang Perai, Penang, opened in 2016. Meanwhile, George Varughese, Vice President of Market Malaysia, Marriott International, said that with its unique design, inspired by local culture and heritage, Iconic Marjorie Hotel perfectly embodies the spirit of the Tribute Portfolio – a celebration of individuality and connection. “It represents our vision to combine global expertise with local authenticity to create destinations that resonate deeply with travelers. “This hotel is a shining example of our commitment to setting new benchmarks in hospitality while embracing the vibrant community spirit that we are proud to be a part of,” he said.
