'What do you expect me to do?': Bob Katter defends fiery face-off with Nationals senator on sidelines of Senate Committee
The conference took place outside a public hearing for the committee’s inquiry into supermarket pricing and market power at Orange in NSW’s Central West and was interrupted several times by Nationals Senator Ross Cadell, sparking an explosive altercation. Mr Cadell continued to interject, with the Member for Kennedy becoming increasingly irate before marching back towards the senator and standing just inches from him.“I have a right to have a say. Every time I’ve opened my mouth you start talking. Now shut up and let me have a go.”
“We were having a demonstration, as we’re entitled to do in a democracy and this bloke came down and every time I tried to speak he started screaming,” he said on Wednesday's edition of Chris Kenny Tonight. “Where I come from, we have a solution to those problems…yes I’m a Cloncurry boy and I won’t be apologising to anyone for that.”
