Breaking: Matildas skipper Sam Kerr has confirmed she will be available to play against Canada in Monday night’s do-or-die World Cup clash, but has kept everyone guessing as to how long she will feature for.
, Kerr told reporters in Brisbane that she was ready to go after pulling on her boots for a closed training session at the Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre. But in keeping with coach Tony Gustavsson’s cryptic release of public information about her fitness status, she would not say if she would start or come off the bench.“I’m feeling good. I was out in the pitch today.
“I would love to tell you guys everything but being in sport a long time, that that’s a massive thing that opposition wants to know. Like Tony said yesterday, it’s gonna go down to the wire. “I’m definitely going to be available but how we decided to use that is you know not to be given to the opposition.”
