An accused murderer breaks down while telling a Perth jury she did not realise she had a knife in her hand during a struggle that ended with her best friend suffering a fatal stab wound to his chest.
She said she then grabbed Mr Thompson's wallet in her left hand and ran to her bedroom.
She said when she came out of the room, she walked past Mr Thompson and he was snoring, so she "thought he was drunk and had passed out".
