Arriving in a foreign country without a visa seems like an obvious mistake, but it’s the main reason tourists were preventing from entering Bali during the first quarter of 2024. During this period, 561 foreign nationals were denied entry to the Indonesia n territory, the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Badung told local media. “The most common reason for rejection is because they don’t have a visa,” Ngurah Rai head of immigration Suhendra said.
The government deported 66 people and detained or temporarily detained 89 people. Of those deported, 23 people were from the United States, while 10 were Australian, seven were Iranian, seven were Tanzanian and six were Indian.
