Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Ha Chi-shing of Hong Kong concluded a 10-day pastoral visit to the United Kingdom, where he engaged with Hong Kong migrants and offered spiritual support across 11 regions.Church marks 60th anniversary of Pope Paul VI’s ‘Ecclesiam suam’Bishop Ha with the Cantonese-speaking community in Manchester at St. Mary’s Church after he celebrated a Mass on July 20.

His schedule was filled with Mass celebrations, spiritual talks, gatherings for prayer, reflection, and fellowship, and hearing confessions, catering especially to Chinese migrants. On July 20, Bishop Ha addressed a gathering of over 130 people from northern England, Glasgow, and Ireland, speaking on discipleship and outlining five key characteristics of a disciple of Christ.

His stay in Cambridge on July 23 and 24 featured a Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption and the English Martyrs, attended by around 120 people. On July 25 in East London, Bishop Ha challenged the congregation to embrace humility and service, echoing the gospel’s message that greatness is found in serving others. He encouraged the migrants to evangelize and share their faith in their new environment.
