SINGAPORE: More than 2,000 people in Singapore made appointments to get the influenza vaccine on Feb 4, one day after the Feb 3 shock announcement of Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu’s death, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said.
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Hindu Sangam has expressed its sincere appreciation to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the government for deciding that there is no need to create guidelines on Muslim participation in the festive celebrations of other religions.
The MHS also recognised the important role of the Interfaith Harmony Committee, which facilitates open dialogue between religious group representatives, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation among all communities of diverse faiths in Malaysia. "Malaysia Hindu Sangam fully supports such efforts and looks forward to continued collaboration to strengthen unity among the people,” said MHS.
