The BC River Forecast Centre issued a high streamflow advisory for the North Coast, Central Coast, West and North Vancouver Island on Friday.

The BC River Forecast Centre, issues a high streamflow advisory when “river levels are rising or expected to rise rapidly, but that no major flooding is expected. Minor flooding in low-lying areas is possible,” the advisory says.
In addition to the high streamflow advisory, rain is also expected to fall for most of the weekend across the Island.rain across regions of the Island from Friday through Monday for Victoria, including Nanaimo, Tofino and Campbell River with a slight break on Sunday.Following a wet October, drought conditions that persisted on Vancouver Island through the summer have lifted.
