With the win the Raiders maintained second place in District 29-6A and clinched a playoff berth.
Following the touchdown, Holmes answered with an 11-play, 68-yard drive and capped it off with a 1-yard touchdown run from sophomore running back Christopher Geller. As they attempted to tie it up, the Raiders’ defense blocked the PAT, and senior defensive back Charles Barber Jr. returned it for a 9-6 lead.
With momentum swaying towards Taft’s side, the Huskies fought back and responded with a 16-play, 65-yard drive that nearly took time out of the whole second quarter— as junior quarterback Issac Martinez ran it in from 12 yards out to bring the Huskies within 16-12.
