University of Incarnate Word running back Jarrell Wiley is stoped by Faulkner’s defensive back Skylar Henderson during the first half on Saturday. The University of the Incarnate Word Cardinals took care of business Saturday afternoon — dismantling Faulkner University, 70-0, in a non-conference game at Gayle & Tom Benson Stadium — and when it was over, UIW head coach G.J. Kinne knew that his team has bigger games looming on the horizon.
“We're right where we want to be,” said Scott, who now has 37 touchdown passes and only two interceptions this season. “We've just got to be ready to prepare during the week and execute the gameplan that the coaches come up with for us. I like where we're at right now. Texas A&M-Commerce is a great team. They beat Southeast , who beat us. But our biggest opponent is ourselves. Our job is to get ready and execute the gameplan.
Along with the lopsided win, the Cardinals made some history Saturday, as Kole Wilson became the first UIW player to return two punts for a touchdown in a single game.
