North Texas faces another sweltering week of temperatures well into triple digits, the National Weather Service said Sunday.
The weather service issued a heat advisory for all of North Texas effective from 1 p.m. Sunday to 8 p.m. Monday.
Temperatures were expected to top 104 degrees Sunday afternoon before further intensifying Monday, possibly reaching 110 degrees, according to the weather service,The highest temperatures were expected west of Fort Worth, according to the weather service.The combination of low humidity, high temperatures and dry vegetation has also increased the threat of fires throughout much of North Texas, especially west of Interstate 35.
