There is not a reopening date for the New Town area Dollar General, according to the latest update from a company spokesperson.

The Nightmare on Bay Street is back for a second year on Oct. 29. If you're scared of clowns, this one might not be for you - that's the theme of this year's show. If you're ready for a haunted carnival, you can buy tickets by clickingThe Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Office will host a group bike ride on Oct. 27.
Costumes and bike decorations are encouraged. Bikers will meet up at Sesquicentennial Park in the Springfield area of Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m.Join the party from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be food, music, a carved pumpkin contest, pumpkin decorating, relay races, trunk or treat and more!The Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens on Millcoe Road is hosting a magical, Halloween-themed weekend on Oct. 27 and 28.
From 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., visitors can come see Lake Loop lit up with lanterns, lights and lanterns. There will also be food trucks, festive music, a lantern parade, a silent disco and more.The Jacksonville Zoo is celebrating spooky season with decorations, haunted pathways and sweet treats all October long. There will be 20 different scare zones, candy and toy stations for trick-or-treaters. Attendees are encouraged to dress up.It's the ultimate Halloween movie.
