KOTA KINABALU: The state government has been urged to reconsider its proposal to issue the Sabah Temporary Pass (PSS) for immigrants with the IMM13, burung-burung and census certificate documents in Sabah.

The state government has been urged to reconsider its proposal to issue the Sabah Temporary Pass for immigrants with the IMM13, burung-burung and census certificate documents in Sabah."Illegal immigrants and those who are in Sabah using dubious documents should be sent back to where they come from, and they can return to Sabah using proper travel documents if they want to work here.

"However, those who have the IMM13 , and those with the other mentioned documents used as a record for the holder, can apply for the PSS. "But the authorities must make sure that those who apply for the PSS are genuinely eligible," Hajiji said during the Sabah state assembly debate session on Tuesday .

He said the issue of illegal immigrants and the issuance of PSS has got many locals in Sabah worried that the problem of illegal immigrants flooding the state will only get worse. Meanwhile, Hajiji urged the government to look at the use of pump boats among fishermen in Sabah as these vessels are used by criminals, including for cross border crimes."For security reasons, I hope the state government will really look into this and reconsider the use of pump boats among fishermen and water villagers in Sabah," he said.
