Menurutnya, projek berke­naan sekiranya berjaya dilaksanakan mampu menyediakan kira-kira 9,000 peluang pekerjaan kepada penduduk tempatan, selain menjana pendapatan RM10 juta setahun kepada Perlis. “Pembinaan hab minyak ini akan menyediakan harga yang lebih menarik kepada pengguna di Thailand, sekali gus boleh mengekang penyeludupan bahan api itu dari negara kita.
