Guan Eng wants probe into Sarawak’s high cement prices

LIM Guan Eng has urged the domestic trade and consumer affairs minister to investigate possible “monopolistic practices” leading to inflated cement prices in Sarawak. The finance minister, in a statement today, said Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has successfully tackled concerns about a possible 40% hike in cement prices in the peninsula following meetings with industry players recently.
