Grumpy Bagels Has Become a Hotspot in Imbi View this post on Instagram A post shared by Grumpy Bagels (@grumpybagels) Grumpy Bagels opened its doors in April 2024 and is located in an old bungalow on Jalan Imbi that has been transformed into a very dreamy hangout spot! Grumpy Bagels is full of vibes. From walnut wood furniture, old-fashioned classic floors, old-school cabinets, palm trees inside – plus vintage chill music giving a vibe like Paul Anka and Patsy Montana – makes it a great place to relax and enjoy your meal. 🫶 The Story Behind the Existence of Grumpy Bagels The founder of Grumpy Bagels, known as Claire, 30, got the idea to start this bagel shop while she was still working and often traveling abroad. “When I was a flight attendant, every time I got a schedule for a flight to the US, the first thing I looked for was a bagel,” Claire told FMT. For your information, Claire retired in 2021 and started missing the bagels she used to enjoy abroad. The name Grumpy Bagels actually came about accidentally when Claire and her husband were discussing the concept of the cafe. Although her name looks “grumpy 😏” – the cafe actually has a cheerful mood and its own charm.
