KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) is targeting to become a significant grouping in Parliament after the 15th General Election (GE15), says Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee.

The GRS deputy chairman noted that the five-party coalition, which is still considering applications from several other Sabah-based parties, is hoping to form a stronger and united Sabah front in the Dewan Rakyat.“This is so GRS can be side by side with Gabungan Parti Sarawak , towards the fulfilment of MA63 ,” added Yong, who is also the Sabah Progressive Party president.

He noted, however, SAPP will support Muhyiddin, who is also Bersatu president, for the country’s top job. On a proposal by a member during the congress that Yong contest the Lahad Datu parliamentary seat, he said he has yet to decide whether to run in the coming general election.
