TUMPAT: The unity government, through the Economy Ministry, has approved 436 projects and programmes for implementation under the Third Rolling Plan of the 12 Malaysia Plan (12MP) for Kelantan, says Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
The Kelantan State Development Action Council joint chairman Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said the total encompassed an allocation of RM2.57bil for the implementation of approved projects.
"The total of 436 projects and programmes involve an overall allocation of RM22.17bil," he told the media after visiting the Sungai Kelantan Integrated River Basin Development Project in Teluk Renjuna here Saturday . During the visit, Nik Nazmi also handed an allocation under the Mesra Rakyat project amounting to RM30,000 for the maintenance of Teluk Renjuna Health Clinic and RM30,000 to repair the roof of Teluk Renjuna Mosque.
Commenting further, Nik Nazmi, who is also Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Minister, said for the Tumpat district, a sum of RM88.82mil was approved for 23 projects with the overall development cost totalling RM1.04bil. "Seven new projects were approved for this district with an overall cost of RM240.4mil," he said. - Bernama

K'tan expected to get RM1.7bil from federal govt to address water woes, says Deputy MBGUA MUSANG: The Kelantan government is expected to receive an allocation of RM1.7bil to address water supply issues in the state, says Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah.
