The Western Australian Opposition is calling for a crisis meeting to address a decline in sheep prices as farmers reduce their stock ahead of a tough season. Some are selling their sheep usually worth approximately $150 for 50 cents. The lack of confidence in the industry is fuelled by the government’s plan to phase out live sheep exports.
