NDIS Minister Bill Shorten says the government will need to “clarify eligibility” when it comes to the National Disability Insurance Scheme. “I think we also need to make sure that the rent seekers who get attracted by government money, who overcharge or overservice people disability or indeed just the downright crooks, they need to be evicted from the scheme,” Mr Shorten told Sky News Australia. 'I also think what we need to do is recognise that nearly half the scheme are kids so there’s a challenge there in how we help young kids with developmental delay.'
