Environment and Water Minister Tanya Plibersek has announced the government has “struck a historic agreement” for a way forward on the Murray Darling Basin plan. “This way forward will deliver on the whole of the Murray Darling Basin plan including the 450 gigalitres of additional water for the environment,” she said during a media conference on Tuesday. “What we are proposing is time, more money, more options and more accountability .”
