Many common medicines will effectively be half price from September under a major cost of a living shake-up to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.
Under this policy, six million Australians can collect a two-month supply of medicine rather than one when they pick up their script.
The government predicts it is estimated to save Australians more than $1. 6 billion over the next four years.
