Acting Premier and Local Government Minister Steven Miles said Ryan Bayldon-Lumsden would need to explain why he should not be suspended before Friday.released on bail following a hearing in the Brisbane Supreme Court on ThursdayMr Bayldon-Lumsden's lawyers say he intends to plead not guilty after being charged with the murder of his stepfather Robert Lumsden last month.

Mr Bayldon-Lumsden is the deputy chair of the council's lifestyle and community committee, which is due to meet tomorrow at 9am.
