St Thomas More School on Yorktown Road in Elizabeth Park was sent into a short lockdown after the girl was allegedly attacked with a knife about 9am.
The girl suffered "superficial cuts to her torso", according to police, and has been taken to the Women's and Children's Hospital for treatment.Police are investigating after a student was reportedly stabbed by another student at St Thomas More School at Elizabeth Park.
"Northern District police quickly attended and detained the suspect," a police spokesperson has said."The situation has been contained and police would like to stress that there is no further risk to any other student at the school."
