A Naracoorte man accused raping a woman in Adelaide with four other men has been granted home detention bail.Mr Ahmed has been granted home detention bailA suppression order on his name was revoked in Mount Gambier Magistrates Court today.
Kadir Abdulhafiz Ahmed, 24, must remain at home in Naracoorte except under specific circumstances, including to go to the vineyards where he works.Mr Ahmed was ordered not to contact the alleged victim or his co-accuseds.Two of the men are from Adelaide and two are from Victoria.A suppression order was placed on Mr Ahmed's identity during his first court appearance two weeks ago to avoid identifying the fifth accused man, so he was not tipped off that he was wanted by police.
Ms Dunsford acknowledged the alleged crime was "serious", but said her client "strenuously" denied the offending.
