GE15: Parliament dissolved due to lack of solidarity with PM, says Ahmad Maslan

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno reaffirms its stand that an unstable political situation cannot be allowed to continue in the country, says its secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.

After the Umno working committee meeting at Menara Dato Onn on Monday , Ahmad said their view is similar to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

“The dissolution of Parliament is the best way as representatives of the parties that formed the coalition government are increasingly showing lack of solidarity with the prime minister in governing the country. Ahmad said that the party would let the Election Commission determine the GE15 date, while suggesting that it can be held in mid-November.“We believe it can be held as early as mid-November, which is before the flooding or monsoon season,” he added.
