Israel has ordered an evacuation of a hospital in Gaza as it declares its three-stage plan of attack against Hamas.
Palestinians taking refuge and receiving treatment at Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza have reportedly been told they need to flee, with Israel appearing to prepare for an attack.
Worrying reports of evacuation orders sent to Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza. Sick & injured patients, and health workers, are inside. Hundreds more â mostly women and children â are seeking shelter on the hospitalâs grounds. The sanctity of health care must be respected at all times.The evacuation order comes off the back of Israel’s Defence Minister Yoav Gallant announcing a three-step plan in response to Hamas’ unprecedented attack on October 7.
“The third phase will require the removal of Israel’s responsibility for life in the Gaza strip and the establishment of a new security reality for the citizens of Israel.” Israel ordered the retaliation bombing and complete siege of the Gaza Strip, which houses two million Palestinians and half of the population estimated to be children.
The territory is feared to be on the brink of a major humanitarian crisis as civilians have also been cut off to life-saving supplies like food, water, electricity and medicine.
