Fans of Disney's Gargoyles cartoon from the early 1990s are finally getting a new live-action television series based on the franchise.
revealed that the beloved animated series is being remade in live-action by Gary Dauberman and James Wan’s Atomic Monster banner. The new Gargoyles live-action series is being made forand is being written and executive produced by Dauberman, who will also serve as showrunner. Dauberman’s previous writing projects include Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, and Annabelle Comes Homes, as well as the pilot of the live-action DC series Swamp Thing.
Gargoyles has seen a bit of a resurgence in recent years, with a new comic that continued the story of the show beginning late last year and the Sega Genesis game adaptation beingDisney’s Gargoyles originally aired for three seasons from 1994 to 1997. The first two seasons aired on first-run syndication. The third and final season aired on ABC starting in 1996 following Disney’s acquisition of the network.
