Allenwood midfielder Johnny Doyle picked up man-of-the-match in his side’s Intermediate final win over Castledermot in Carlow on Sunday.
The 45-year-old Kildare GAA legend kicked three points as his side picked up a narrow victory with a score of 0-11 to 1-07. It’s Doyle’s second championship title with the club, 19 years after their SFC victory all the way back in 2004.Chants of ‘One Johnny Doyle’ were heard from the crowd following his man-of-the-match announcement.
Doyle displayed his free-kick ability with one off the ground to add to his equalising free in the final minute of the quarter-final against Caragh to force the tie to extra time.
