GOF 7th Battalion commanding officer Superintendent Azhari Nusi said three Thai nationals and a 50-year-old local were detained in the raids under Op Wawasan in Jalan Besar Rantau Panjang and Kampung Lubok Gong.
He said the three Thais were picked up in the first operation at a shophouse in Jalan Besar near Rantau Panjang. “The GOF members raided the shophouse at about 6.45pm following a tip-off and discovered 82 bottles and a jug believed to contain codeine cough mixture. “They also found RM607 cash in the raid,” he said, adding that the three Thais, aged between 22 and 26, were later arrested.
In the second operation, GOF members detained a local and seized 216 bottles of cough mixture worth RM6,480 at a house in Kampung Lubok Gong at about 11pm.Related stories
